About Me

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Marie Russell, a single mother of three. Before becoming a licensed therapeutic massage therapist, I was a workaholic owning my own court reporting and driving school companies. Taking my strong work ethic a step further and doing what I always felt called to do, I redirected those energies into an education of healing and helping others through the power of touch.

I am Nationally Certified and licensed in North Carolina and a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

I specialize in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and Integrative Reflexology.   Much of the work I do reduces pain in the neck and shoulders, where many of us hold our stress, as well as low back and foot pain.  I can incorporate essential oils, cupping, chakra balancing, hot stones and Reiki into my massage as well if you wish.

I am also a practitioner of EssenceWork, a distant healing modality which eliminates the “sticky stuff” that holds issues in place, so they can drop away easily and gently with no effort on your part. It is a process that gives insight and information as to possible underlying sources of any imbalances.

I have also received training in Tibetan acupressure, Japanese Zen facial massage, stretching, zero balancing, polarity, trigger point therapy, injury, kinesiology, kinesiotaping, one-brain integration, pulse balancing, sports massage, anatomy and physiology and CranioSacral.

I chose the name “Sublime Intention” because sublime means “of high spiritual, moral, or intellectual worth” and intention means “a course of action that one intends to follow.” In my work, I always strive to do the best I can for my client, utilizing all the “tools” I have at my disposal. Since the body has the ability to heal itself, I consider my work to be in partnership with my clients in their healing journeys.
